Hope Transforms

*** A poem about how Hope works to transform our lives.

Hope Transforms

Hope lightly touches our souls,
Gently glides in through the mists of
Troubled minds and chaotic lives and
Quietly strokes our faces to engage.

Awareness soars, promises glisten.
We greet the new companion Hope
Who lingers and comforts a while
Constant faithful friend through crisis

Hope arises from the silence, those
Darkest moments plaguing our lives.
Hope illuminates the despair and
Lifts up our hearts to believe again.

Life crowds us with demanding pressures
Like clanging alarms wake, startling us to grow.
Hope drives us to a greater destination,
Toward fully conscious, awake and Presence.

Hope gives us the Dream then transforms,
Sings our courage, never overwhelmed.
Hope seeks, summons the growing Light.
Conduit of change, quiet Power, Hope dwells within.

Water of Life

*** Have you ever wondered the messages Nature speaks to us every day, happening every minute all around us? Great Nature photos.

Water of Life

I look up to see a white egret flying softly high overhead,
Playing, lazy, on the laughing air currents in conversation.
In the bare beginning, the morning air dances lightly.
Swooning breezes appear for me to remember, then, forget.
We are waiting for the sun.

Red-tinged blackbirds jump on the green swaying willow tree,
Screeching a two note hearty hello, lifting its wings wide to sing.
Smoky mist hangs on the water’s surface, stepping, drifting along
In creeping hordes like short silent ghosts.

A white egret dives and swoops in gracefully,
Gliding with quiet stretched white wings to fish.
A blue heron beats the air heavily with huge wings,
Coming in for a landing like a frightening dinosaur.

I sip my warm welcoming coffee ever so slowly as I watch,
Drinking in the early hour sights as the water of Life moves.
In the sky the sunrise peeks pink through dark blue clouds
When, suddenly, a strange sight: a flock of eight egrets.

Eight egrets, not the solitary solo of norm, flying East.
Eight egrets, all pristine perfect, soft billowy white
Drew my gaze to look up and wonder long the message.
Every day all around us, Creation delivers new awareness.

Mythical bearers of change, spiritual messengers: egrets and herons.
Eight is the number of new beginnings flying overhead today.
Arriving now comes change, change in our lives, change.
This omen of unusual eight means it’s all good.

I smile, and, look up in thanks.

We Are All Sleeping Beauties

*** When you sleep, who do you become? Do you know how to do lucid dreaming? Do you know how to wisely use your spiritual intent? Do you know how to heal yourself through dreaming?

From Denny: Writing so many posts on the subject of sleep and dreaming this week it was only a matter of time before out popped a dream poem. :) I love the photography found to pair with it!

This poem did give me an opportunity to discuss lucid dreaming, reclaiming our spiritual authority - and how to wield it - and our intent - wisely in the Universe. We are all spiritual beings growing in our awareness of infinity - through our dreams. One day our night dreams become our waking reality as we learn to walk what we once thought impossible.

We Are All Sleeping Beauties

Dream Time

It’s that needed time
When our lives repeat,
Sifting through our day.
Sometimes, we explore
Years long ago when
Fear, envy and jealousy
Stalked us without mercy.
Our intent spoke darkly.

Dream Time

It’s that special time
When our lives spring anew,
Creating a life desired.
Sometimes, we invent.
We are the hero of the day.
We make plans ahead and
Look forward to happiness.
Our intent declared boldly.

Dream Time

It’s that healing time
When our lives easily restore,
Strengthening us to build again.
Many times we relive the past,
Choosing another decision
That changes the outcome now.
Awakening our authority unused,
Our intent walked powerfully.

Dream Time

It’s feared by some and
Treated to prescriptions.
It’s an annoyance for many
When easy sleep does not come.
The soul weary have not learned
The way of the dreamer poet:
Our dreams open us up to magic.
Our intent moves without limits.

Dream Time
It lures us by enchantment.
The impossible becomes possible.
There are no obstacles to hinder us
Rising from the lowest to the highest.
We are masters of our recognized world.
We are travelers of Time and Infinity.
We are well received, omniscient.
Our intent stalks the Universe wisely.

We are all Sleeping Beauties.
